Biography
Betty Sturley's love of watercolor painting and gardening has been developing since she graduated from the University of Michigan college of Architecture and Design with a bachelor of science in design. She majored in painting and advertising.
Betty reenergized her art career after raising four children by specializing in transparent watercolor horticultural renderings. In recent years she has become a talented portraitist. To sharpen her skills further, she has attended a watercolor workshop in San Miguel, Mexico, which was conducted by Jim Kosvanec, a well known National Watercolor Society artist.
